  • Mother's Day!!!

    • So, today, we celebrate that I have given birth four times!!!  Geez!  I have been given "Force toast" in bed (explanation to follow), a card from Colton that is a Tapir, and hugs from the girlies.
    • EDIT: My friend, Anne, to an Edible Arragements arrangement from her hubby on Friday for her first Mothers' day (She's preggers for the first time). I showed them to the family, and guess what they did??  They made their own!  It looks wonderful. Mostly strawberries with about 15 chocolate covered ones in there.  Yum.
    • Colton was in his Jedi knight robe, so French Toast became "Force Toast."  Get it?
    • I've found a loose edge on the medical super glue over my collarbone incision from the port placement.
    • Tell me to stop picking at it.
    • EDIT: I accidentally picked off all of the super glue.  The wound came wide open.  Thank God for steri-strips.  They're now holding the collarbone incision closed.  Also thanking God that the incision is only about 1/2" long.
    • Ciera has decided that she's not trying out for cheer next year
    • She has other things she really wants to focus on, like theater and voice
    • Cheer is a packed schedule, and she needs to free up some time.
    • She also said that this next year promises to be dramatic with the return of one of the girls who quit this year and with the promotion of several dramatic 8th graders to HS.
    • She said she has enough drama in her life, thank you!
    • She'll miss it
    • So will I
    • But I want her to be happy more than I want her to be a cheerleader.
    • I think she's making a very mature decision, and I'm proud of her.
    • Meleia has a $35 pair of tennis shoes she wants.
    • I told her that if she could get my room tackled and at least get all of the clothes put away and the school papers into the filing cabinet and put away anything else she knows where it goes, I'd buy them for her.
    • My room already looks better.
    • And she's only done the clothes
    • I have to go get a shower and get ready for church.
    • Happy Mother's Day!!

  • Super glue and medical glue are pretty much the exact same thing, but with a compromised immune system I'd want to talk to a doctor.

But on that note, I'll tell you a funny story. :) My wife was playing with our Boston Terrier one day. Sometimes Salem (the dog) will jump at your face and snap playfully if you're messing with her. Well, Bev was trying to get her to do that, but Salem got too close and actually ripped Bev's nostril open. We were afraid she'd need stitches and then there were concerns about scarring and stuff. So being resourceful, we decided to fix it with super glue. I glued her nostril back together, and it worked perfectly!

Except I super glued my finger to her nose. Oh well. :)

(Yes, we got them apart, but it did hurt both of us a little.)

  • I got one of those arrangements for my first day in grade 4.
